New Member Application- Class of 2020
The Honor Committee is the student group responsible for the administration of the Honor Code on campus. Our duties include educating students and faculty on the rights and responsibilities that accompany the Code, as well as investigating possible academic conduct violations as a fact gathering body. Our members must be in good academic and judicial standing, make a commitment to the Committee until graduation, attend weekly meetings and take on additional time commitments during cases, and exhibit confidentiality, thoughtfulness, enthusiasm, honor, integrity, and responsibility.
We invite you to apply by submitting an application packet that includes the following:
1. Complete and submit this form by 5:00 pm by April 3rd
2. Upload a copy of your résumé [The staff of The Gateway in the Library is a great resource]
3. Write one personal essay, which answers both questions below. Essays should be 300-500 words. You need not re-type each question.

Question Two: This year the Committee has been focusing its attention on educating the Allegheny community on the importance of the Honor Code. If selected, how would you help spread awareness of the importance of the Code?

After reviewing all the applications, the Committee will select the top applicants to set up an interview to meet with the Committee before making a final determination. Therefore, it is highly encouraged that your application is thorough, thoughtful, and most importantly, authentic. This entire process is thoroughly executed by all members of the Committee, so please be patient in waiting for our response.
